Finca Bethania was founded in 1991 in the heart of one of the best known coffee regions of Nicaragua, Nueva Segovia. The farm is 42 hectares, planted with caturra, catuai, catimor, mara caturra and java.

Ana and Martha Albir are third generation coffee producers; their great-grandfather has owned land in Nueva Segovia since 1930.

Ana and Martha aim to adhere to principles of sustainability and environmental protection. The farm recycles water used in the production process returning only clean water to the rivers, and as a Rainforest Alliance certified farm they take great care to protect and preserve the natural forest in which they grow their coffee.
