Attia – Guayabos Café Agrario, Colombia
Price range: £14.00 through £42.00
Morello cherry, dark chocolate, demerara, panela, bergamot.
Description
This coffee was grown by Leoncio Maceto in Ortega, Tolima in Colombia. The coffee process is fully washed, with cherries meticulously sorted to ensure only perfectly ripe ones are used. Leoncio is very selective about his pickers, compensating them well to ensure only fully ripe cherries are harvested. The picking cycle occurs every 8 days.
The farm is supported by exporters Siruma who have invested in the coffee growing community by hiring agronomist Pilar who delivers workshops on coffee processing and organising a coffee producers’ association allowing them to sell their coffee directly rather than go through a middle-man, and therefore increase their profitability.
