Description
La Reforma is situated in the Apaneca Ilamatepec mountain range in Calzontes Arriba. There the Alvarez family grow coffee amongst native shade and Inga trees, using sustainable growing practices and natural fertilisers. They follow Rainforest Alliance Certification practices but are not yet officially certified.
They grow the SL-28 variety imported from Kenya which is known for its vibrant, sweet flavour. The coffee is naturally processed and dried on raised beds for 18 days before being dry milled at El Borbollon Mill which is renowned for its high quality coffee.
