Cajamarca decaf, Peru
Price range: £13.00 through £35.00
Description
This coffee is a sparkling water decaf, decaffeinated using the gentle carbon dioxide in water method which protects the delicious flavour of the coffee.
It’s made from a blend of lots grown in the San Ignacio districts of Peru. The producers pick and process the lots themselves, drying the beans on lined patios.
Historically, Peru hasn’t had the best reputation for coffee as much of what it produced was bulk grown, cheap coffee for the commodity market. However, there is increasing investment in teaching coffee growers small-scale speciality coffee production methods. Many farmers tasted their own coffee for the first time as part of cupping for the speciality market.
